 Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mata Gujri Khalsa College, Kartarpur is a statutory body established in line with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Serving as a driving force for quality enhancement and sustenance, the IQAC ensures that academic, administrative, and co-curricular processes of the institution function with efficiency and excellence. It continuously endeavors to strengthen teaching, learning, research, extension, and governance in alignment with institutional goals and national benchmarks.

 Objectives:

  • To evolve a structured mechanism for consistent, conscious, and catalytic improvement in institutional performance.
  • To institutionalize a culture of quality through adoption of best practices and continuous innovation.
  • To improve the effectiveness and relevance of the teaching–learning process.
  • To promote professional development, research initiatives, and academic innovation among faculty members.
  • To establish stakeholder feedback as an integral tool for quality enhancement.
  • To prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) in adherence with NAAC/UGC norms.
  •  Functions of IQAC:

  • Designing and implementing quality benchmarks/parameters for academic and administrative activities.
  • Organizing orientation programs, seminars, and workshops on themes related to quality enhancement.
  • Systematic documentation of institutional processes, achievements, and best practices.
  • Acting as the central coordinating body for all quality-related initiatives of the college.
  •  Impact:

    IQAC has emerged as a cornerstone of institutional progress by fostering a participatory culture of accountability, innovation, and quality consciousness. These initiatives have reinforced decision-making, elevated teaching–learning outcomes, boosted research productivity, and fostered sustainability through environmentally friendly and community-oriented practices.
