National Service Scheme

National Service Scheme was introduced in 1969 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service.

The vision is to build the youth with the mind and spirit to serve the society and work for the social uplift of the distressed people of our nation as a movement.

 Mission

The mission of NSS for students is to cultivate a sense of social responsibility, enhance personal growth and encourage active participation in community service.

NSS helps the students development and appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings.

 Objectives

The broad objectives of NSS are to:

Understand the community in which they work

Understand themselves in relation to their community

Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process

Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters

Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude

Utilize their knowledge to finding practical solution of individual and community problems

Develop among themselves a sense of social responsibility
